Just a few of our testimonials

Reliability and Accountability are essential factors when dealing with Professional Services, and indeed for the peace of mind of any potential client, our experience speaks for itself, however, it's always nice to hear what our clients have to say. All of the testimonials below are available to view at the point of consultation. More testimonials are available from our portfolio upon request. We are also happy for you to speak directly to anyone who we have represented upon request. We can be traced via the Internet from many years ago (see links at foot of page).

“Dear Stephen, you recently attended our home in Harrow for a consultation concerning the conviction of our daughter, I told my daughter before she decided to go ahead with the consultation that it would be a waste of money, having now met you I can put my hand on my heart and say that you have given us more information in the three and a half hours you were here (you only charged us for the two hours) than we have had since my daughters nightmare started back in November 2009, we leant so much from your experience. Thank you”.

Mr. & Mrs. K Dixon – June 2011

"I just wanted to follow up on my first email to you. If you remember, I was interested in your services but was very skeptical. For all I knew, you could have been another Internet scam, just trying to make money by using my fear of going to prison. Also, I could not see how you could accomplish anything in a few months when my solicitor had not been able to over the last six months, especially when I had teenage girl falsely accusing me. Now, I have to say that you were the best investment I could have made. I wish to express my sincere thanks for your visit, to say that you were like a breath of fresh air is an understatement. You had given me such a huge amount of information to digest. I was just told today that all charges against me are being dropped and that is a long way from my own solicitor trying to get me to take a plea before you got involved. I can't say thank you enough for giving me my life back. Best regards”.

Keith Bradley-Wilson – May 2011

“Stephen you are my angel, what you did for me was fabulous, you were put on this earth for a reason, and I will be forever grateful”.

Neil Young – Free due to you and your team.

I spent 2.5 years from accusation to acquittal, but it affected a far wider group of people, friends, family, etc. The police showed no signs of investigation and there were clear indications that procedures had not been followed, that pressure had been put on witnesses that there was a connection between the family and the investigating officer and my interviews were doctored over 80 times. The CPS withheld evidence from the court and caused the whole trial to be adjourned for a further sixth months much to the anger of the judge. During these 2.5 years and ten court appearances I was unprotected, a journalist could have sat in at any point and reported the story. The jury reached a unanimous decision in just over an hour. It was a sick vendetta against my family, more so father vs. father because of an affair - he'd waited 10 years for the opportunity. It cost them nothing to make the claims; it cost my family thousands and the taxpayer 600k. You are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but ultimately you are guilty until proven innocent. I contacted Stephen Cooper of falselyaccused.co.uk, he himself has been involved in some 197 cases (I was 197) and with the exception of one, and all were found not guilty at trial or on appeal. Anonymity is essential, not all of us are guilty and you and your team proved that I was innocent. People accused of these crimes need to know what effort, time and number of people you had and their vast experience involved in my case and without you putting this together I could have been put all over the papers for the wrong reason and my life would have been ruined. Thanks for everything.

James Thompson – 197 – May 2011

“You are fearless and passionate about your believes, you have been a magnificent support to me and my family, your dedication is unparallel. There are no other words to describe your efforts other than thank you”.

M Younas -195 – March 2011

“Cooper, who should work for Duracell, where do you get your energy? Do you ever sleep? You and your team always remain one step ahead of others, don’t you dare ever give up! You are stuck with me for the rest of our life’s”.

Alan Dykes – 193 – October 2010

My husband was falsely accused and spent 22 months locked up in a prison.  I was totally devastated, he was convicted on a Friday, I was beside myself and sitting with my sister, when I said to her, there must be something we can do.  There has to be something, I asked her to pass me the Laptop.  I keyed wrongly convicted into the search engine and falselyaccused.co.uk came up. I went into the website and from the start was really impressed with the content and what the company stood for, the company Motto “PASSION BEYOND DOUBT” was screaming out from the page at me. I contacted Falsely Accused and agreed a meeting with Mr. Stephen Cooper, Founder & Director of Falsely Accused.  He came to my home on a Monday night, he spent 5 hours with me and my family asking questions and talking us through what could happen, he was clear from the outset that nothing was guaranteed. He was very professional; left me his card and told me that if I needed anything that I could ring him at anytime.  He made me feel that he wanted to help, and in deed true to his word, he did help, if I had a query or question however trivial it might have been to him, he never made me feel awkward or that I was being silly, when something like this happens to a loved one it really takes it’s toll on your confidence levels and he always made me feel I was asking a very relevant question. He advised me about sentencing and what I could do to show support for my husband, which I did, much to the annoyance of the “family” solicitor who said I would upset the Judge. The result was quite the opposite and the newspaper reporter commented on the support that was there for us. I was ill at the time, and extremely stressed at what had happened, because of that I was persuaded to go to a different solicitor purely on a cost basis, (even though my heart was telling me go with Falsely Accused).  What a mistake that was, luckily it only cost a couple of thousand pounds but what was worse it cost us 6 months in wasted time, during which time my husband was still incarcerated. I telephoned Stephen Cooper and asked if he was prepared to take our case on, after all we had gone elsewhere, I was besides myself and so afraid that he would say NO.  I can’t describe how elated I felt when he agreed.  He sent me the contract to sign and then it was all go. Stephen Cooper visited my husband in prison that was quite stressful, I wanted them both to like each other and most importantly, Stephen had told me that if he felt Chris was guilty he would not represent him.  Anyway, I had nothing to worry about. Stephen Cooper kept me up to date with everything that was happening, was always in contact with me.  What was very important to me, as an individual was that if I had a query or question or was worried about something he always answered that question or concern and always made me feel more positive.  I guess you could say he was there for me as well as trying to clear my husband’s name.  Which was priceless to me, other legal representatives made me feel I was wasting their time. Throughout the long process, Stephen Cooper was always contactable and would go out of his way to make sure I knew exactly what was going to happen and when. I know our case meant a lot to Stephen, as did every other one he worked on; he was totally committed to helping innocent people get justice.  I spoke to a couple of his previous clients; they simply could not say enough good things about him. When Chris was at the Court of Appeal and got his conviction quashed and freed it was the best day of my life, my two sons although they weren’t with us were overjoyed with the news.  The only person I attribute this to is Stephen Cooper for making it possible, and for putting together the best defence team he possibly could.  I know it’s not a cheap option but it was well worth every single penny.  I would trust Stephen with my Life. I do have one regret and that is that I thought by going to a local family solicitor they would do the best for us, it just wasn’t the case.  I wish I had found Falsely Accused before we went to trial, if we had we would not have found ourselves in the position we did. If you have any doubts about instructing Falsely Accused, don’t it’ will be the best decision you could ever make. I am happy to speak to anyone if they wish to hire Falsely Accused.

Karen Fair – 190 – June 2009

If you have been Falsely Accused DO NOT pause to think, contact Stephen Cooper and his team immediately had I done so I could have saved myself and my family a great deal of money and two and a half years of turmoil and uncertainty. I found falselyaccused.co.uk on the Internet and was reluctant to pay the initial consultation fee despite glowing recommendations on the site itself. My decision in the end was one of desperation. I met Stephen Cooper shortly before the police chose to charge me officially despite advice to the contrary to continue with Mr. Cooper following my arrest. Stephen Cooper’s knowledge of this area of law is excellent but it his own experience of a similar situation and an aspiration to ensure that it doesn’t happen to others sets him apart. His firm Falsely Accused is incredibly well connected with firms and chambers alike but he chooses to associate himself only with a small number, who he trusts and are highly regarded. Realise this, a criminal trial is a long and hugely emotional process, it can also be very expensive but you get one chance only. Stephen Cooper and his team have a straight talking approach and for some this maybe difficult to take but his advice and the team that he brought together coupled with his persistent hard work made the difference.

Ben Caulfield – 187 – July 2009

My friends printed off information on this web site and “Why Me” and then sent it to me whilst on remand. Personally I found it very very useful. Looking at it now after many months, it still looks good. They provided me with an enormous amount of information available for free. The charges are clearly laid out and it clearly states that this service is not available on Legal Aid. It is obviously a private consultation. A lot of service’s Stephen Cooper talks about are then provided by professionals in their own right. I do not think this is wrong. A person and company should be judged on the basis of his past experience, performance and the references he has available. When you look at the cases he has worked on and the references he has, including the fact he was the investigator of the year in 2006. As a professional I have paid far more than this to get advice, some of which turned out to be not worth the money. My personal experience of the people behind this site was top quality. They are “brilliant”. They were very proactive. Always instantly available, responded to every question in detail and generally were exactly what I would expect. When I returned to Legal Aid I found that their service did not change, the QC whom they commissioned provided critical advice, which my subsequent QC was forced to acknowledge, free of charge. Stephen’s office continued to help me even after I had been forced to return to the solicitors I had originally sacked. I am acutely aware that there exists a two-tier justice system. Those who can afford it can go to somebody like this, find a good solicitor firm and have the best representation. I know – I had it. Now I do not. I agree this is wrong. My most trusted friends met Stephen and the solicitors he works with and they checked his references, I had glowing reports back. Subsequently I enjoyed the services of a top notch, very professional company of solicitors who bent over backwards to try and help me. Having taken me on they was prepared to see it through. Each time they travelled at significant inconvenience to Hereford from London even whilst the Judge was bolshy and had a miserable attitude towards them. As you know, the judge eventually managed to find a way to maneuver them out and return the case to the local solicitor. The difference was startling. Lastly I agree the charge to pay is expensive and you do not know what you are paying for, perhaps there might be misunderstanding and therefore feeling miffed. However in my experience the charge was worth it. You pay for knowledge and their time. When I am able to work professionally, my charges are similar, if not more. This guy is through and through professional. The solicitors he has access to and the other professional services he can refer you to are top quality. I paid the money and have no complaints against falselyaccused.co.uk. Any questions feel free to let me know.

Mike Shaw – 181 – 2008

Coops, you are relentless and for this I thank you. I do not wish to think what may have happened if it was not for your passion and determination. Best wishes

Lt-Col Aidan Turnball – 174 – 2008

"The general who wins the battle makes many calculations in his temple before the battle is fought. The general who loses makes but few calculations beforehand". I’m pleased you were here as the battle was won with you calculations!

Col Mike Holmes – 170 - 2007

"I was accustomed to being dismissed as some desperate woman trying to protect her boyfriend but from the outset you listened to what I had to say. You earned my trust by always doing what you said you would."

Karen Derrick – 165 - 2007

Stephen and the team thank you for your help and support when you were dealing with my twin’s case. As you know it took the jury at Cardiff crown court under 20 minutes to find my sons not guilty, I can honestly say it was your passion and determination that got the jury to see the girls were liars and the truth came out. I would be happy to speak to anyone who finds themselves involved with a situation like this and tell them what you did for my family. You and your team all deserve gold medals.

Tracey Davis -160 - 2006

It was encouraging to see that the Jury took less than two hours to come to a unanimous verdict of not guilty on all counts, although nerve racking at the time.I appreciate the part you and your firm played in collecting and preparing the material used by my Counsel in getting the result we did. It is not easy to see whilst at the hub of it all that ones word against another will prevail even if one is telling the truth. But the statements you obtained and the supporting material displayed, plus your guidance on procedure was a great help and it all played its part in getting the correct result."

Geoff Taylor – 157 – 2006

Dear Stephen, firstly, thank you for a marvelous job you have done and I really appreciate your work.

Lorraine Reeves -143- 2005

“We were at this time also feeling very suspicious of anyone including you. I remember you noticing my reservations on our first meeting. What you may not realise is that evening myself and my husband both realised, purely through a gut feeling, that if anyone could help us it was you.”

Susan Morrow – 131 – 2004

I am impressed by Mr. Cooper’s enthusiasm and dedication to his work in dealing with false allegations, together with his knowledge of the law. I consider the aforementioned to be a reliable and honest person.

Charles Long – 122 – 2004

Dear Stephen, What can I say? Thank you seems so inadequate for what you and your staff have done for my family. We as a family are forever grateful that we took the step (Or should I say giant leap) in engaging you to undertake the investigation on behalf of my brother. Being a cynical and skeptical person before engaging your services I did a great deal of back ground work, to ensure as far as possible I was not “being led up the garden path” as the amount of funds required was significant. People reading this may well think, “ah she’s on the payroll” believe me I’m not and I can state that every penny was spent on the investigation was accounted for by the office staff, who kept a “tight rein” on all expenditure. All the staff we met during the investigation were professional, polite and supportive to all family members, nothing was too much trouble neither was it an inconvenience no matter what time of the day or night we contacted them. Without your investigation my brother would have remained in prison for a crime he did not commit. Your efforts ensured that on the 11th June 2004 he had his conviction quashed by the Court of Appeal, only to be told that a re-trial would take place. On the 16th September 2004 he was found NOT GUILTY by a unanimous jury, who took approximately 13 minutes to return their verdict. I have no hesitation in recommending your services, as without our family being prepared to take the leap I am convinced that my brother would still be in prison today, protesting his innocence with no one listing to him.

Helen E McCulloch ACMA MCMI – 115 - 2004

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for all the extremely hard work, time and effort you gave to this investigation to help my husband David Luxford. From the day we first spoke and up until the present day, you and your team have and are still are very professional in the way you managed this case. I honestly felt deep down once you started work on this case that I had finally found someone who not only listened to what I had to say, but who I could sincerely trust to find the truth, of which you have and my husband and I are truly grateful to you and your team. I know deep down in my heart I would not have got as far or as quick without your help. With kind regards.

Greer Luxford – 101 - 2003

Dear Stephen, thank your for your assistance in this highly sensitive case. You had a highly professional, yet gentle and reassuring way in addition you assisted beyond the call of duty. I would not hesitate in recommending you to anyone in the future. Once again thank you.

Dr. S. Agnihotri – 094-2002

The Court of Appeal has overturned the convictions of indecent assault for one of this firm’s clients. Siobhain Egan has represented an individual whose convictions of indecent assault were decreed to be unsafe by the Court of Appeal. Information uncovered by renowned legal enquiry agent Stephen Cooper (www.falselyaccused.co.uk) indicated that the complainant had lied about the allegations. It was also discovered that the CPS had failed to disclose, both to their own counsel and the defence, important contradictory information supplied by the complainant about the allegations, which she had made.

RE: STEPHEN COOPER AND FALSELY ACCUSED. I have known Stephen Cooper and his company, Falsely Accused, for nearly 10 years. Together we have conducted both trials and appeals. As can be appreciated, as a barrister (QC) in independent practice I work with many solicitors so I have a broad range of experience of case preparation and work practices. I can say without any hesitation that Mr. Cooper provides a service well beyond others in the legal profession. He has been known to find witnesses that others claimed could not be found. He investigates computer leads and provides photographs and graphics that are first class. He is supportive of the client and witnesses. In essence he provides a service well beyond that which is available on legal aid. Due to his excellent work ethic we have often succeeded in trials and appeals due to his work input. It follows that many clients have succeeded in recovering their costs through Defence Cost Orders. Mr. Cooper is honest, hard working and efficient. I would unhesitatingly recommend his services to anyone who is about to go through any aspect of the Criminal justice process.

Mrs. NR - QC

We have been instructing Stephen Cooper of Falsely Accused on behalf of many clients who have been charged or even convicted of sexual offences. Stephen is an independent Legal Enquiry Agent. What does he do? In the broadest possible terms, he makes enquires; he investigates. What has he done for our clients? He has travelled all around the country (and flown out of it too) to trace and interview witnesses, trawl through dusty archives and obtain any other evidence we have asked him to gather. If we had to describe Stephen in three words: fearless, dedicated and compassionate. From the prospective of a firm of Defence Solicitors who regularly work with Falsely Accused, he is the extra pair of hands, which makes up a fantastic team. As far as we are concerned, he is indispensible and has played a big part in our success in securing acquittals.

TimurRustem (Managing Partner)

The combination of Stephen’s unprecedented knowledge and experience of dealing with cases of wrongful conviction was praised by the Judges in R v Luxford [COA 2003 EWCA Crim 3327] for his outstanding contribution to fighting injustice and for his unstinting determination to correct wrongful convictions. Through his work with Appeal cases he has developed a deep understanding and knowledge of the processes and procedures of the Court of Appeal. He is a credit to our Association.

Ian Withers, Former Chairman, The World Association of Professional Investigators.

Our cases have appeared in the national media such as The Times, Daily Mail, Evening Standard and Readers Digest.
